May has arrived with its bright colours and variety of flowers inviting us to pick them up.
Throughout my life : as a kid, as a teenager & finally as a mum, I made a habit of picking up flowers in May and waving them into wreaths.
As soon as the lilacs came into bloom a big group of family and friends went exploring the nearby fields and neighbourly gardens to find poppies, daisies, lilacs, freesias, peonies, roses and many more.
Finally finishing our day with a wide variety of colours, our palette for our next masterpiece.
All these memories come knocking on my door every May and I was longingly looking back on them whilst drawing this card, hoping to recreate & also spark some of your favourite spring memories.
A big thank you to all the mums out there!
